Job Description

Bold Earth Trip Leaders provide incredible summer experiences
for teenagers from all over the globe! In the process, we get to
explore, surf, hike, travel and sleep under the stars in some of
the world’s most beautiful places. The job involves an
incredible combination of leadership, laughter, games, and hard
work. We hear over and over again that a summer with Bold
Earth is the most fun and rewarding job in the world.
Bold Earth trips are groups of approximately 13 teenagers with
2-3 adult leaders. New Trip Leaders are paired with an
experienced Senior Leader.

Trip Leader Responsibilites and Expectations:
Co-leading an adventure that exceeds the exceptions of
participants and families
Maintaining high energy to get the best out of our teenagers
Overseeing safety at all times and in diverse environments
Having the foresight and focus to avoid unsafe situations
before they occur
Ensuring that safety is understood by all involved in every
activity
Successfully teaching teenagers to take initiative in learning skills
Facilitating positive group dynamics
Connecting with every participant in your group
Encouraging cultural & environmental awareness
Fostering leadership, self-reliance, and self-confidence
Bold Earth contracts professional outfitters to join your group
for skilled activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking,
sailing, whitewater rafting, or kayaking.
Trip Leaders do not need to have expert knowledge in all
activities; however, employees oversee and are responsible for
participants at all times.


Requirements

You must be 21 years old by June 28.<>
Have proven leadership experience with youth.<>
College graduate, or in the process of completing a <>
degree.Must have United States Citizenship.<>
Must have Wilderness First Responder and CPR certifications
<>
by June 21st.<>
No more than four points on your driving record in the past <>
three years. <>
An inspirational role model for youth.<>
Experience with adventure travel.<>
Energetic and engaging personality. <>
Commitment to safety - proven judgment and decision making
<>
skills<>
Applicants with Spanish fluency are highly regarded.<>

Bold Earth hires trip leaders on a rolling basis. We do not have


an application deadline. However, the sooner we receive your


application the better!

Application Materials:



1. Complete application packet. Include a current headshot

photo (optional).

2. Three email addresses for references.

3. Official copy of state motor vehicle driving record (call your


local DMV office to obtain a copy).

4. Photocopy of driver’s license, health insurance and all

current first aid and CPR certifications. You may attach photos


to the email when you send in the application.

5. Please send a short (1-2 minute) video of yourself explaining


WHY you want to work for Bold Earth. Make it fun, outdoorsy,


and show us your stuff! This can be done on an

iPhone/tablet/digital camera, no professional production

required.
