The Ballibay Camps are looking for rock music instructors for this
summer.
Music Instructors teach individual and group classes based on camper
interest, and organize bands and ensembles based on the compatibility
and skills of interested campers.
Our Rock Music Program is part of our music program; Rock is a term
we use very broadly to include modern and classic rock, pop, folk, and
other styles.
Our Rock instructors teach guitar, bass, drums and recording. Bands
are organized and directed by the rock staff, and bands perform in our
two band nights each summer and in selected talent shows. We also
place an emphasis on recording, and our rock staff teach four-track
recording and mixing.
Most Rock instructors are also cabin counselors (see benefits section).
Key Skills: experience teaching one or more of these
instruments or skills: rhythm guitar (electric), lead guitar (electric), folk
guitar, electric bass, drums, keyboards, recording experience, working
with children, excited about teaching music, interest in participating in
an intense and immersive summer arts program.

Benefits:
Staff members are employed for 2-9 weeks. Staff members can draw
on their earned salary at any time. Room and board are provided, and
it is quite possible to live at camp all summer completely expense free.
All full-season staff members attend a complete orientation before
camp begins. Staff members receive 1 day off per week and every other
night off. All camp facilities are available to staff members during their
time off, except horseback riding. The food is excellent for omnivores
and vegetarians alike. On-campus facilities specificallly for staff
members include laundry, computers, e-mail, a phone, and a comfy
lounge with a TV/VCR, refrigerator, pool table, and more.
Most teaching staff members are also cabin counselors. Cabin
counselors live with at least one other staff member and 10-14
campers. Ballibay is an activity-oriented camp; staff members spend
only 2.5 hours each day with their cabin groups and 5.5 hours a day in
specialty areas working with motivated campers. Ballibay is a magical

programs for boys and girls ages 6-16, established in 1964. We offer
exciting programs in Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Theatre, Radio, Video,
and Sports in a non-competitive environment. We are located on beautiful
200-acre mountaintop campus in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
