US Performing Arts mission is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America. We are dedicated to representing the best in quality performing arts and media education. Our intensive conservatory-style summer camps are designed for middle and high school students.

Theater / Acting
The Acting Workshops are designed to give the camper professional training in acting, advanced theater game techniques, improvisation, and scene and monologue work. US Performing Arts also offers programs in musical theater.

Acting for the Camera - specialized training with working professionals in film and television. Participant receive training in the subtlety of camera performances in the development of a character.

Improv Theater - participants learn to use your body, voice and imagination to create long form improvisational pieces.

Theater Camp - activities involve intensive training through various approaches to the craft of acting through theater game techniques and improvisation designed to incite the creative imagination of each participant.

Media / Film
Campers learn and improve by doing! Each camp will take students through the entire process of creating for their chosen discipline. Outstanding faculty and award winning professionals will help students learn the collaborative process of writing, producing, directing and being in front of the camera.

Digital Filmmaking - basic techniques of digital production and post production while maintaining an understanding of storytelling by focusing on the image.

Television News - campers learn how to write, produce, and shoot, newsworthy magazine type stories with a focus on the immediate news of the day.

Television Sit Com - camp is patterned after the real life experiences of a creative sitcom team of people who must deliver a situation comedy to the network executives and the actors who must prepare and tape a sit com episode.

Animation - intensive introduction into the story telling, creation and production of the traditional animation process.

Screenwriting / Playwriting
Creative writing is the basis of all narrative presentation. The curriculum of this camp includes the study of the dramatic structure of short and full length plays, screenplays and teleplays.

Designed as a camp that absorbs each camper in character, structure, form and plot of the written play, screenplay or teleplay the camp holds a few surprises that will make the experience a memorable one for each camper.

At UCLA, beginning and advanced programs.
