Outstanding teaching, direction, and performance experiences enhance skill, encourage cooperative work, and nurture self-confidence. Texas Arts Project emphasizes nurturing the imagination and creativity of each camper.

At Senior Camp, campers between the ages of 13 and 18 choose between 4 courses of study: musical theatre, acting, technical theatre/design and filmmaking.

Senior Campers may apply for the Advanced Program, an extension of the Senior Camp for the serious student wishing to study Acting or Musical Theatre at the collegiate level. Campers integrate with the Senior Camp for three weeks with the addition of an advanced week following camp.

The Junior Camp, for ages 9-12, combines singing, acting and dancing. The one-week session is packed full of fun with an emphasis on technique and performance. Two sessions available.

Texas Arts Project is not your ordinary summer camp. While we enjoy many standard camp activities, the real excitement comes when campers discover the joy of creation and the thrill of performance.

St. Stephen’s faculty, college professors and regional and national working artists join together as we strive for excellence through an artistic program where students are actively encouraged to find the place where process meets product.

TAP is located at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, a 428-acre campus near Austin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, offering breath- taking views and state-of-the-art facilities. The arts facilities include the Helm Fine Arts Center featuring the Temple Family Theatre, a 410-seat performance venue and proscenium stage; a 100- seat recital hall; and an open-air portico overlooking Lake Austin. In addition to Helm, the campus boasts Hines Hall Theatre and Quin Studio, two additional rehearsal/ performance spaces as well as the Clayton dance studio.

The thing i love most about TAP camp, is that it is such an accepting and fun environment. I learn TONS of great information and tricks and tips on how to improve my musical theatre and dance world. TAP camp also has helped me gain confidence in myself and I have learned to be a better person.
