Where Nature is Fun This summer let your child's natural curiosity for nature and the environment be discovered. Our campers, take care of furry friends, do hands on science projects and even catch frogs. Forest Rangers teach about bears, eagles and much more. Self accomplishment is promoted in a noncompetitive and nurturing environment. Traditional camping activities include: Horses, Swimming, Scuba, Team Course, Sailing, skiing, Canoe trips, Above all else we have fun. Swift Nature Camp is one of the few camps nationwide that focuses on environmental education with an award-winning teaching staff dedicated to unlocking nature's mysteries through hands-on discovery. Anyone can read a book about ecology or see a film about wild animals. But at Swift Nature Camp, campers dig In to the world of Earth Science. Many of the science activities are part of Nature Quest, the award-winning environmental program designed by the World Wildlife Federation. Our own Nature Center provides a dynamic setting for learning as campers find themselves doing science experiments, conducting environmental testing, learning about the local wildlife, or participating in our camp recycling program. A unique pond aquarium, known as Kermit's House, gives kids a chance to see pond life from a frog's point of view, while our Nature's Neighbors live animal collection provides opportunities for up-close study and care of several common northwoods residents as well as a few exotic immigrants. We are Experts in First Time Camper Programs Our Discovery camp a 12 day program is exclusively designed for children that have never been to camp before. Since all campers are new to overnight camp it sets a level playing field for all children. For this program we have no more than 6 children in a cabin with 2 staff members, allowing us to give each child that special attention they require their first time away from home.
