 U.S. Space Camp is a four, five, or six day program jam-packed with astronaut training for young people. Activities include simulated Space Shuttle missions, IMAX® movies, training simulators (like the 1/6th Gravity Chair), rocket building and launches, scientific experiments, and lectures on the past, present, and future of space exploration.
Aviation Challenge is a four, five, or six day program that teaches the basics of flight dynamics, land and water survival, and team work. Includes simulated missions.
SPACE CAMP has been operating since 1982, and has graduated over 400,000 campers. SPACE CAMP programs in Alabama are operated by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center® and the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission. |
