SEACAMP San Diego's mission is to provide exciting, innovative, hands-on, and interactive marine education opportunities to students across the country and around the world. SEACAMP San Diego offers three unique camp opportunities: SEACAMP I, SEACAMP II, and SEACAMP III.
Each camp immerses students in the fascinating world of marine biology through interactive marine science classes and field experiences. SEACAMP instructors utilize on-site aquarium facilities to teach hands-on labs. The topics of SEACAMP I labs include invertebrates, fish adaptations, night adaptations, marine mammal, and shark ecology.
Labs are then all followed with field activities including several snorkel excursions, kayaking, and boogie boarding. SEACAMP II and III allow students to expand their experience and they include a 2 or 3-day boat trip aboard a live-aboard dive boat to the lower
Channel Islands
.
