The Salvation Army offers a variety of camp programs to meet the needs and desires of your children. Adventure Programs; Children ages 7-17 can enjoy arts and crafts, archery, canoeing ,swimming, kayaking, climbing wall, low ropes, bouldering wall, mountain biking. They can sing along with crazy songs at the campfire and sleep safely in their bunks at the end of the day. The teens are stretched through the growing experience of a two day canoe trip in Ontario’s beautiful parklands. Sports; develop your skills in soccer, basketball and ice hockey. The junior camp ( ages 8-12) will work on beginning skills and then enjoy swimming and other water sports. The senior camp (ages 13-17) will develop intermediate and experienced skills. The days end with camp wide games, Bible discovery and campfires. “The hockey was the best! The swimming was the best! And I loved archery too!” 13 year old boy.
Music: The campers are taught by some of the best musician in Canada. At the Junior Music camps (ages 7-12) learn to play a trumpet for the first time or develop to the next level in only 6 days. Parents are invited to a mid camp and a final day concert. Of course all of the great camp activities are available during free time. Senior Music and Gospel Arts camp (ages 13-17) features world renowned musicians and speakers. Campers will advance in musical skill beyond their imagination. Dynamic programs are planned every night under the stars or in the disco lit hall. Campers will connect with their musical gifts and with life time friends.
Adult programs: a) Moms are invited to come to the Conference Center to be pampered while their children are cared for in programs. Listen to dynamic speakers, share with other Moms, eat nutritious meals and no dishes or house to clean. b) Women’s camps: two weekends in the colorful Fall season at the Conference Center and Camp are available for all women in the Salvation Army. Inspiring speakers; fun activities; thought provoking conversation; walks in the leaves and much more. c) Men’s Camp: feel the power of men drawn together to play; to pray; to worship; to eat heartily; to laugh; to encourage one another. Seniors: men and women who love to share their journey; their wisdom; their joys and sorrows come to the Conference Center Spring and Fall mid week for a great camping experience.
