The Green River Preserve is a co-ed natural science and wilderness camp for young naturalists in rising 4th through 9th grades with Expedition programs for high school students in rising 9th through 12th grades.
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, the private wildlife preserve encompasses 3,400 acres of mountain terrain including streams, trails, campsites, caves, and multiple waterfalls. An ACA accredited camp, Green River offers daily field trips with professional naturalists and up to 24 elective activities such as rock climbing, fencing, pottery, fly fishing, archery, canoeing, art, drama, outdoor cooking, camping, and creative writing.
Expeditions explore two different terrains of North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Outer Banks. Each 2-week backpacking adventure offers a diversity of activities including hiking, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, wilderness survival, and much more.
