Summer Focus at UC Berkeley is a comprehensive 6-week academic program offered in a partnership between Education Unlimited and UC Berkeley Summer Sessions. The program is designed to provide a small group learning environment for talented and motivated high school students who want to experience college life. While at Focus, students actually earn college credit taking a UC Berkely class.
This exciting program allows entering junior and senior high school students the opportunity to earn college credit, receive a supreme introduction to college and dorm-living, and have a great time on a variety of recreational excursions such as Great America, the SF Museum of Modern Art, college tours and local theaters. Students have fun, meet new people—all the while living in a structured, supervised environment. Summer Focus students take one UC Berkeley course for 3-4 units of transferable college credit, a College Level Writing course and choose two Summer Focus Enrichment Courses taught by Education Unlimited's expert staff. Our Summer Focus Enrichment Courses are afternoon enrichment courses designed to compliment the students' UC Berkeley course. Enrichment classes include:
