Summer Camps and Outdoor Recreation in Ontario

The Circle R Ranch Community

Circle R Summer Camps provide an incredible environment full of new and old friends, music, new achievements and many opportunities for personal growth and independence.  The essence of Circle R is the presence of supportive relationships and challenging activities in a physically and emotionally safe environment.  Circle R offers a wide variety of summer programs for children 6 - 16 years old, from day camp to residence camp, and varying in length from five days to one month.  We understand that each camper comes to us with unique needs, interests and at different stages of development.  Each camper will have the opportunity to develop cooperation and learn responsibility, learn more about the natural world, and to develop respect for themselves and others within the camp community.

Western Pleasure Horseback Riding

Our major program is Western Pleasure Horseback Riding, and campers enjoy 220 acres of beautiful riding trails each day. Campers often develop very special relationships with their horse as they improve their riding skills, and come to better understand these sensitive and intelligent creatures.

Furville Rescued Cat Sanctuary

In addition to interacting with horses, campers will enjoy Furville Rescued Cat Sanctuary. Furville offers campers the opportunity to increase empathy while they assist in taking care of our fortunate felines. Of course, there is plenty of time to play and give affection to our cats and kittens who have been granted a second opportunity at a more comfortable life! In the past two summers, the Furville Adoption Program has helped 19 cats find their 'forever homes!' The success of this program can be attributed in large part to the incredible kindness and compassion demonstrated by Circle R campers.

Additional Circle R Ranch Program Activities

Circle R Ranch offers a comprehensive program schedule, including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating, tree climbing, arts & crafts, pottery, archery, fishing, environmental programs, mountain biking, overnight camping trips, day trips, bouldering wall, low ropes course, wide games, campfires and singing, variety shows, and special events.  We believe that a well rounded camp program includes four essential elements:  structured group activities, individual choice, group choice and all-camp activities.
