Cazadero Performing Arts Camp is a place where people of different ages and abilities come together for a week or two to go a little deeper into their art. There are programs for instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers. Established in 1957, Cazadero is located in an ancient redwood grove near the Russian River in Sonoma County, California.
Top coaches and conductors from throughout Northern California bring their experience and inspiration to the campers. Personal Attention is a key component of the camp experience.
Youth Camp
The low student to staff ratio (about 5 to 1) gives kids personalized experience with a wide variety of teachers. Students play up to 5 hours per day and have the opportunity to work with top conductors and make lifelong friends.
Major ensembles offered are: Concert Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra. Extensive electives in Chamber Music, Jazz, piano, guitar, composition, theatre improv vocalizations and recreation opportunities are also available. Piano, Guitar and Composition programs require auditions.
Family Camp
Cazadero is known for its immensely popular performing and visual arts Family Camp, an arts learning community with many participants returning year after year, kids, parents and all. Youngsters grow up together, with the youngest spending hours at Kid City; parents have a week to get away from it all, immersed in dance, theatre, chorus, steel drums, percussion, clowning, rock band, chamber orchestra and more (see our web site).
