Located in Central Pennsylvania near State College and Altoona, Camp Blue Diamond is a year round Christian camp and retreat center affiliated with the Middle PA District of the Church of the Brethren. Located within Rothrock State Forest, CBD is 238 acres of hemlock, pine and oak forest, with a clean & clear stream fed lake running through the center of the property.
During June & July, CBD offers a wide variety of coed residential and adventure camps for children and youth age 7 - 18. Check out the 2010 Summer Camp Video!

In August, CBD hosts the Centre County Law Enforcement's Camp Cadet program, and for four months in the spring and the fall, it is home to Shaver's Creek Outdoor School, an environmental and experiential education program of Penn State University.
Modern Lodges, cabins, pavilions and a 50 site RV & tent campground are available to family, church, school and not-for-profit groups for rental throughout the year. CBD is a restful, Christian retreat center. Alcoholic beverages, smoking and motorized recreational vehicles (ATV's, Jet Skis) are not permitted. Pets are allowed only in the family campground.
The Mission of
Camp Blue Diamond
Is to develop and promote programs which provide Christian education, leadership development and stewardship of natural resources for the churches of the Middle District PA Church of the Brethren, and to develop and promote a rental facility providing environmental aesthetics and a warm Christian Spirit in which churches, schools, organizations, groups, families and individuals can retreat for spiritual, educational and physical development.
