UNFORGETTABLE JOURNEYS
School vacations are both a time to take a break from routines and an opportunity to move beyond the classroom and explore life through experience. Brighton international programs are tailored for high school students who want to take advantage of spring and summer break to travel with people their own age, develop fluency in foreign languages, and experience new places and cultures in ways that move beyond tourism.
This summer, we hope you’ll do more than visit another country. We invite you to sit down to breakfast with your Spanish family, spend an afternoon planting trees with Costa Rican school children, or learn to surf off the coast of Biarritz with new friends from around the US. These are the kinds of daily experiences that bring busy lives back into perspective, develop confidence and turn a summer trip into an unforgettable, life-changing journey.
Compare Brighton travel and study abroad programs with even less complete trips costing $1,500-$3,000 more, and you’ll discover that Brighton programs are the best value in summer study abroad.

The streets of the historic walled city, lined with shops and café terraces, bustle with shoppers and street performers, and the broad ramparts that circle the city offer up unbelievable views of the coast.
St. Malo is recommended for students who have studied French for at least one year and who want to complement their French classes and homestay with extensive travel. LANGUAGE IMMERSION, ECO-TRAVEL & COMMUNITY SERVICE IN COSTA RICA
Coronado —A City in the Clouds Costa Rica covers an area smaller than the state of
West Virginia , yet this relatively small country boasts an incredible wealth of natural diversity. The provincial town of

It is a paradise for naturalists, hikers, birdwatchers, surfers, and anyone attracted by grandiose natural beauty and warm local hospitality. Costa Ricans call themselves "Ticos"—a name that is synonymous with friendliness and a generous, welcoming spirit. Brighton's local Homestay Coordinator carefully selects Tico families in the suburbs of
Coronado who will welcome you into their home and include you in the daily routine of their lives. It's a wonderful opportunity to develop lasting friendships, quickly improve your spoken Spanish, and learn to live the Pura Vida as a member of a Costa Rican family.

As a Brighton mentor, you join a staff of American and Taiwanese counselors who live on the beautiful
Chung
Gung
University campus. Each weekday morning, mentors attend Chinese language courses (no previous knowledge of Mandarin is required) before joining young Taiwanese campers for lunch and an afternoon full of sports, activities and tours around

What Brighton students have to say:
I was expecting a boring camp with boring kids sitting in a boring class all week, but instead, it has been the highlight of my summer.
- Mike T., Chicago, IL
I loved learning about the admission process in such a fun way. It was a great experience. I met great people.
- Nona W., Phoenix, AZ
The thing I liked the most was that I was able to live on the UCLA campus and experience a little part of the students way of living.
- Claudia S., La Paz,
The willingness of the staff to take suggestions and input during the program surprised me. I was expecting weird college professors ranting on, but what I got were real people interested in helping me get into college.
- Albert T., Sparks, NV
I am now looking at a lot of schools I had never thought of before. It completely changed my view on college admissions. I feel so much more confident now and I am so well prepared. I met great people, had fun, and greatly benefited from the programs. YAY Wahoo!
- Mike D., Dix Hills, NY
Not only did it give great insight into the college process, but I had an awesome time.
- Brittany S., Bethlehem, PA
It was an extremely helpful experience. I learned so much more than I expected and wouldnt have traded it for anything. I feel a lot more confident for the college process.
- Kelley P., Sierra Madre, CA
The program was amazing. With all the individual attention, it really helped me understand and stress less about college.
- Logan E., Beach Haven, NJ
Everyone was fantastic. The learning was fun and there was so much focus on each of us. I have much more knowledge on what I want from college and what type of college will suit me.
