Discover Wildwood, where everyday is full of adventure! Follow a fox and her pups playing in the early-morning mist. Paddle across the pond in search of salamanders and the perfect island picnic spot. Explore the forest with new friends. Spend the evening telling stories and laughing around the campfire. Snuggle into a sleeping bag, and fall asleep watching the stars sparkle through the trees above. Year after year, new challenges, new friends, and new opportunities await Wildwood campers. Whether it's the first visit to Wildwood or the tenth summer in a row, campers always discover new adventures and return home inspired to care for the world around them. The Leaders-in-Training, campers entering grades 10-12, have a chance to make their mark with a three-week session at Wildwood, helping to plan special activities and assisting with camp life for younger campers. They also complete a camp service project, assist in daily activities, and serve as role models for the camp community. Campers enjoy a number of fun activities: swimming, kayaking, nature writing, ponding, dragonfly discovery, sailing, geology, camp newspaper, nature photography, canoeing, shelter building, hiking & backpacking, weather watching, astronomy, high & low ropes challenge course, forest ecology, animal tracking, campfires, outdoor cooking, organic gardening, pre-breakfast jaunts, night hikes, and so much more! Bring the whole family to camp! Come to our Family Camp, and stay in a cabin or tent with your family group (all ages welcome). Join us for traditional camp activities, enjoy family-style meals, and make connections with other families around the camp fire. There's also plenty of time for relaxing together in Wildwood's beautiful surroundings. Venture Out! For many teens, Wildwood is a launchpad rather than a destination. Our wilderness trips take teens ages 14-17 to some of the most strikingly beautiful sites in New England. With a focus on learning about the environment, teens gain valuable skills in low-impact outdoor pursuits, including hiking, backpacking, river rafting, rock climbing, sea kayaking, and biking. Teen trips depart from Wildwood after a day of group building and orientation. Throughout the experience, teens will meet with experts and learn about the natural world. Each group contributes to the health of the environment by completing a brief but important service project. Join us for an adventure...Bike & Beach on Cape Cod & Nantucket Island, High Peaks & Coral Reefs in Vermont's Green Mountains, Rock & Ravine in New Hampshire's White Mountains, Acadia Adventure in Maine, and the Advanced Naturalist Expedition that explores Mass Audubon's important work around the state.
