(classes are held Monday-Friday and do not meet during the weekend of July 31-August 1)

Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to enroll in the CAPC programs, The Intensive sessions offer overnight as well as day camper options, no overnight accommodations are provided at the CAPC Day Camp at Palo Alto High School

East Coast College Tour
Open to students entering 10th-12th grades in Fall 2010
This chaperoned trip allows students to:
  • Visit 10 prestigious colleges over the course of 7 days such as Harvard, MIT, Georgetown and Columbia universities
  • Get a great mix of education and culture while traveling in a comfortable and supervised environment
  • Benefit from the guidance and advice of admissions officers, college students and recent graduates

College Admission Prep Camps
Open to students entering grades 11-12 in Fall 2010
  • SAT test preparation with a proven curriculum
  • One-on-one tutoring for college admissions essay
  •  College admissions guidance - which schools to apply to, how the process works, etc.
  •  A fun, supervised, introduction to campus life
SAT Prep
Our experienced instructors employ proven curriculum, which familiarizes students with the actual test, teaches test-taking strategies, and develops sound reasoning skills.
Essay Writing
Every student gets hours of one-on-one consulting with expert writing instructors. You and your Writing Instructor discuss topics for your Personal Statement, the structure, style and grammatical aspects of the essay and go over drafts and revisions together in your individual sessions.
College Guidance
The counseling component of the CAPC helps students identify schools best suited for them, and covers the development of time management and interviewing skills.

* CAPC Intensive *is a 20-day residential version of our program and students at CAPC Intensive will:
  •  Take 5 full-length practice SAT tests to give them test-taking practice that closely mimics the actual SAT
  • Write three personal statement essays, ready or nearly ready for submission with their applications
  • Meet with two college guidance instructors so they receive plenty of feedback and insight about their personal college admission decisions.
  • Live in the dorms, experience college life, and go on multiple fun excursions around the area such as campus visits to Stanford and UC Santa Cruz and a full day white-water rafting excursion
CAPC Day Camp is a day only version of the CAPC program that will be held at Palo Alto High School in Palo Alto, CA. Classes meet Monday-Friday for a total of 10 days. Students in this program will:
  • Take 2 full-length practice SAT tests to give them test-taking practice that closely mimics the actual SAT
  • Write one personal statement essay, ready or nearly ready for submission with their applications
  • Meet twice, one-on-one, with college guidance instructors so they receive plenty of feedback and insight about their personal college admission decisions
